"At 37 years of age I am in the best shape of my life. During my pregnancy I was on bed rest and gained 65 pounds.... through hard work and consistency, I am back to my pre pregnancy shape. I never realized how much I loved and needed my regular fitness routine. I never want to be without it again!"

I first came to know The FIRM my freshmen year in college. After putting on the infamous "freshmen 15,” I met the man of my dreams and had to get in shape...FAST! With four days per week of The FIRM, a healthier diet and adequate rest, I did get in shape fast. But what I did not know at the time was that the benefits would be manifold. Not only did I get the man of my dreams (he is now my husband), but I found a program that I loved and that I am still doing 17 years later.

I've been married to the man of my dreams since April 2001 and I have one son...Auden who is almost three years old. Before I had my son I used to ask my friends with kids, "What do you do all day?" All the mothers out there will be able to appreciate the humor in that question. Well, now I know! With all I do with my son, I really have to schedule time for myself to workout. It is still a work in progress, but most recently I have started to get up before everyone else does and workout. It seems to be working and I enjoy the quiet time.

My #1 fitness tip would have to be "consistency". Find what it is that works best for you as far as diet and exercise and stick with it. You have to do something 100 times for it to become a habit. Being inconsistent with your diet and/or your exercise program does not give your body time to adjust and/or respond to the changes.

You must make a commitment to yourself and to your program, and stick with it!!! No program out there is going to work for you if you don't commit yourself to it and stick with it.
